Dhaka, February 15: Our team facilitated a workshop titled “Strategic Reporting: Youth Empowerment and Sustainable Narratives” to discuss the challenges and opportunities of Bangladesh’s youth. The event, brought together around 20 prominent journalists from both print and electronic media, researchers, and policymakers to explore the role of the media and strategies for youth inclusion. The workshop speakers highlighted that Bangladesh’s demographic dividend can only be fully realized if the media takes a more responsible approach to youth representation. They recommended highlighting stories of young entrepreneurs and change-makers, publishing in-depth reports on education, employment, health, and gender equality, and encouraging citizen journalism to amplify youth voices and experiences. Participants agreed to take the ownership of this platform for learning and sharing knowledges on reporting on youth issues in a more effective and timely manner. #youthdevelopment #mediacoverage #research #ResearchAndDevelopment
